Education:
Misty is a Texas native who has always had a passion for caring for others. She completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Blinn College in 2013 Afterward, she earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington. There, she was a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Finally, in 2019, Misty graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Arlington with her Master’s Degree earning her the title of Family Nurse Practitioner.

Professional Career:
Misty started her nursing career as a hospice nurse. She loved her work there and spent a large part of her career in this vocation. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Misty has worked in Emergency Rooms, urgent care facilities, and a weight loss center. Misty added, “I am very happy to be working in the nursing home population as it brings me back to my first love, geriatrics.” HealthPoint is thrilled you’re here, too Misty!

Why HealthPoint:
“I feel that HealthPoint serves a necessary role in the community that is overlooked by all other health care systems in the area”, Misty said. “We serve the underserved and that is no small thing to be able to say. I started my nursing career working for a non-profit hospice who would take anyone regardless of their ability to pay. There, I felt able to do some real good. I hope to continue that legacy here at HealthPoint,” she continued.

“I spend my spare time making cross-stitch ornaments for my Christmas tree, racing cars at racetracks around the country, and teaching others to race.”
